Blue Bateig

Blue Bateig is a calcareous sandstone with a strong component of detrital and abundance of angular clasts of quartz.

It has a white-greyish hue, it is compact and fine-grained.

It is extracted in the province of Alicante, in the town of Novelda. It was formerly called as "Stone of Novelda".

This Rock is classified as a calcarenite with abundant fossils.

Quarry exploitation fronts are large and they are appreciated different shades ranging from beige to grey.

These fronts have little fracturing and of them blocks of large dimensions and stockings may be removed.

By polishing it acquires a matte appearance, without shine.

For internal uses usually apply a varnish. With other finishes, bush hammered, etc. Used on façades, urban equipment and other applications.
